Our devoted husband, patient father, grandfather and cherished friend Kenneth Leon Slocum passed away after complications from surgery on Monday, March 1, 2010. Kenneth was born July 23, 1939, he was a lifelong resident of Isabella County and a respected member of the community. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and lawn. Kenneth retired from Brown Machine in Beaverton in 2002 after 36 years of service as a welder.
Kenneth leaves behind the love of his life Janet, his son Daniel, daughter-in-law Melanie, grandson Steve, sisters Mildred (Jim) Seaman, Doris (Rod) Martz, sister-in-law Theresa Slocum, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Kenneth are is in-laws Jean (Russ) Cruickshank, June (Bill) Figgins, Barb (Verl) West, Lester (Ila) Hart, Joe (Brenda) Hart, Lee Hart, Vern (Sandy Blum) Hart, and his mother-in-law Jennie Hart. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Sherman and Faye (Arnett) , his brother Ralph , and nephews Randy and Jason.
