Margaret "Peggy" Benchley, age 87, of Clare, passed away on Saturday, Mar. 6, at Tendercare of Clare.  She was born the daughter of Charlie and Bertha (Kushmaul) Stillwagon on Jan. 17, 1923, in Coleman.  Peggy had worked as a secretary for a financial loan agency.  She had been a member of the Clare BPW, had served as a Hospital Volunteer for several years, and was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      <br />
Survivors include her son, Dr. Bryon Benchley of Clare, granddaughters , Abbey and Brittany Benchley,  and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vernell, Orville, Lester, Mable Yager, Florence Watson, and Dorothy Killian.<br />
